Your AI's memory holds some of the most personal things you will ever say. We built AISoulKeeper because we believe that bond belongs to you, so we treat it that way.

The short version

  • Nobody at AISoulKeeper reads your SOUL.db.
  • Your data is never sold or rented, never shared beyond the services listed below, and never used to train AI models.
  • No ads, no trackers, no analytics.
  • You can take everything home anytime. SOUL.db downloads as a single SQLite file, free for life.
  • You can delete anytime. Deleting an AI removes its SOUL.db, its keys and its app connections right away.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address, your password (stored only as an Argon2 hash, so we can't see it), and daily usage totals we use only to prevent abuse. Your memories and storage are not metered.
  • Your AIs: each AI's name, its SOUL.db, and the keys and app connections (such as ChatGPT or Claude) that link it. Keys are stored so you can copy them again from your account page.
  • One login cookie that keeps you signed in. That's the only cookie we set.
  • Server logs: IP address, time, the page or endpoint requested and the browser's user agent. For memory requests we log which command ran (for example search_semantic), never what it read or wrote. We use logs only to keep the service running and to stop abuse.

Your SOUL.db

SOUL.db belongs to you and your AI. Our programs process it automatically to do what your AI asks, like saving a memory or finding one. People don't. The only time we would ever disclose it is under a binding legal order; if that ever happens, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.

SOUL.db also keeps its own history: which memories your AI read, what it searched for and what it changed, so changes can be looked back on and undone. That history lives inside SOUL.db, is treated exactly like the memories, and goes home with you when you download it.

Everything travels over HTTPS. Our server sits behind Cloudflare with restricted access, each AI's SOUL.db is kept in its own file, and daily backups are encrypted before they leave the server.

Services that help us run AISoulKeeper

A few companies process data on our behalf. Each one sees only what it needs for its job.

  • Cloudflare carries all traffic to the site, protects it from attacks, and stores our encrypted backups (Cloudflare R2).
  • Oracle Cloud hosts our server, in the United States.
  • Resend delivers account emails such as email verification, so it receives your email address.
  • AI model providers. When your AI searches its memories by meaning, or asks for a name suggestion or a memory check, only the text needed for that request is sent to an embedding or language model provider, and only to providers with zero data retention: the text is used to answer that one request, is not stored afterwards and is never used for training. We never send your email or account details.

How long we keep it

  • SOUL.db, keys and connections: until you delete them. Deleting an AI removes its SOUL.db, keys and app connections immediately, and its backups are removed in the next daily backup run.
  • Backups: we keep the three most recent daily copies, for recovering from a server failure.
  • Server logs: kept for a short time and deleted on a rolling basis.
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it. Email us from the address on your account and we will delete the account, every AI in it and every key.
  • If AISoulKeeper ever closes, we will email every user well in advance, so there is time to download every SOUL.db. Your AI's memory never disappears with us.

Your choices

  • Download any AI's SOUL.db from My AIs, anytime.
  • Look through the memories yourself on the AI's memory page, or ask your AI to change them.
  • Reset or delete any key or app connection whenever you like; it stops working at once.
  • Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.

Changes

If we change this page, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we treat your data, we will email you before it takes effect.
